How is the city

The city of Chicago is not as you think

''INVISIBLE" walls that make social segregation possible

The Windy City is home to different cultures and races, but it has not managed to unite and mix them: they are very clearly segregated.

If we look at maps of the percentage of the white population and the percentage of the black population by neighborhood, we see the extreme spatial differences in the city. While the northern and western neighborhoods are predominantly white, the central and southern parts of the city are predominantly black

Internal Transportation

There are 2 metro lines that operate 24/7

The blue line connects Chicago O'Hare International Airport and downtown

The red line service between the North and South Sides via downtown. The Red Line train is one of the most popular and frequent trains, as it runs north and south.

CTA bus routes travel throughout the city, with stops every few blocks.

Common patterns depending on the continent

Chicago has a concentric zone model. In this model, the city is organized in a series of rings emitting concentrically outwards from the core. Above there is the core of the city that makes up the entire first ring, followed by a ring of industry & factories,a zone of transition intermixing working class housing & industry, working-class residences, middle-class residences, and the commuter zone.
